Medication Technician Training Course (6 hours) is designed to assist unlicensed student to administer medication and assist with medication administration in Alf’s, long-term facilities, adult care homes, nursing homes, and group homes. The topics cover is oral medication (pills/liquid), ophthalmic (eye) drop, ear drops, nasal, inhalants, trans-dermal, sublingual, and rectal medications. Student must pass each module/ final exam. Upon completion, student will receive course completion certification. All certification is valid for one year.

This 6 hours course is Approved by ADP. Medication Administration (Med Tech) course is designed to train an unlicensed individuals to administer medication and assist with medication administration. The unlicensed staff is the individual that works directly with persons with developmental disabilities in their home, group home, foster, independent living, and day program. The primary validation skills are oral (pills or liquid) and enteral. The initial course includes 6 hours and validation for the otic, topical, and transdermal. Onsite validation by simulation is oral, enteral, ophthalmic, nasal, inhalants, and rectal medications. Enteral training can be provided with two hours extra of education and validation. Upon completion of the course, the candidate will receive a certification for 65G-7 Basic Medication Administration. THIS COURSE IS ONLY FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO WORK WITH APD CLIENTS

ACLS Course has been updated to show new science found in the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This course will enhance on the foundations of lifesaving BLS skills, focusing on the importance of high-level CPR. This course emphasizes on the importance of team skills and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). The ACLS Initial Course is for someone who does not hold a current AHA ACLS card but has current BLS. For renewal a current/unexpired AHA ACLS card. Bring BLS card to class.
