Manage your Neighborhoods experience
About the Neighborhoods dashboard
The Neighborhoods tab in Square Dashboard is where you manage all aspects of your Neighborhoods on Cash App presence. From here, you can track followers, manage marketing campaigns, review order insights, and update your profile settings.
Access your Neighborhoods dashboard
To access your Neighborhoods dashboard, go to Channels > Neighborhoods.
Review the sections available:
Followers: Track customer follows and activity.
Local Cash: Monitor redeemed rewards.
Campaigns: Create and manage marketing campaigns to your followers.
Insights: Review analytics on Cash App orders and follower engagement.
When lines are busy
You can temporarily pause rewards prompts at checkout so new customers aren't prompted to follow your business during a rush.
Customers who are already part of Neighborhoods can still earn and redeem Local Cash as normal.
-
This doesn't affect your Neighborhoods participation To turn it on:
POS settings > Checkout > Neighborhoods > Rewards upsell and select how long you'd like to pause for.
You can also pause reward prompts at checkout on POS while your customers are completing their transaction. Tap Pause and choose the duration. You can always go back to Settings to unpause.
Update your brand logo
Your brand logo appears on your Square Register's buyer-facing display. To update it:
Sign in to Square Dashboard
Go to Channels > Neighborhoods > Update brand logo
Upload your logo
Tip: Use a square image with your logo centered on a solid background. Avoid text-heavy images as they can be hard to read on the buyer-facing display at a glance.
Track Local Cash transactions
You can view, filter and track Local Cash activity across your business in your Square Dashboard, POS and reports..
To view transactions where customers redeemed Local Cash:
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Payments & orders > Transactions.
Select the All Payment Methods dropdown.
Select Local Cash.
You can also view your Local Cash activity in transaction and order details across Dashboard and POS and in Reporting for detailed breakdowns. Learn how to accept Local Cash rewards with Neighborhoods for detailed steps on tracking Local Cash across different surfaces.
Note: Your Local Cash activity before July 2026 is still grouped under Cash App transactions.
